COP26 UK Universities’ Climate Innovation Showcase

Two projects that have received funding from the THYME Project are featured in the COP26 UK Universities’ Climate Innovation Showcase. The showcase, curated by the COP26 Universities Network, exhibits innovative research aimed at tackling climate change that is happening in UK universities.

Xuebin Ke from the University of Hull and his team have had their work on renewable biofuels featured. Their innovative membrane technology could reduce the energy used in manufacturing plant-based liquid fuels, for a greener, low carbon fuel replacement. See their work featured in the showcase here.

Martin Taylor from the University of Hull led his team to explore how washing solid fuels could improve their quality and sustainability by helping them produce more energy. Their work is featured in the showcase here.

The showcase also comprises a series of events focused on how innovation can help tackle climate change. Visit the UK Universities’ Climate Innovation Showcase here.
