This fast-paced masterclass will enable you to understand the commercial relevance of your research and will help you to generate interest and sign-ups for longer industry-centric programmes.

Our lively and informative one-hour interactive webinar encourages you to consider the different ways in which researchers can work with industry including collaboration, joint funding, consultancy, startup and a career in business. The experienced facilitator will help you identify your individual skills and expertise to support engagement as well as clearly articulate your research in order to generate interest from potential industry collaborators. You’ll then explore a series of steps you can take to develop your business know how.

The webinar is aimed at Early Career Researchers from a range of academic disciplines and will also have relevance for current PhD researchers. It ​is solely for members of the THYME Project partner institutions, which are the universities of Teesside, Hull and York.

Learning outcomes will include:

– How you can find your ideal partner and how to engage with them

– How to communicate your research in a way that immediately generates interest

– How to clearly define your target impact
